#Micropolis A/V drives
Does anyone else here have the Micropolis 9 gig A/V drives?
If so, 1) How is it performing? 2) Do you plan to change it (somehow) for a
non-A/V model.
I'm caught in the middle of a lot of conflicting info here. Many people hereand
in VTU have said that the A/V models will not work well wit with the Flyer; My
drive seems to be working as well as anyone else's. My dealer says that he's
been selling the AV drives and everyone is relatively satisfied.
Chuck B. states that the AV drives were -never- on the Newtek approved list. My
dealer states he only received -one- list of approved drives a long time ago,
and that there were -no- Micropolis drives on it!
Micropolis knows nothing of Newtek, but says that they will trade in my AV
model for a -refurbished- non-AV drive for $100 fee. At the same time, I have a
Seagate 4 gig drive that I assume I should send in for a firmware update as
well. I'd like to change both drives at the same time to minimize downtime.
Any advice would be appreciated…
