Matthew, Instead of batch rendering you can also use the network rendering feature of 3DS on a single PC with a lot less possibility for error. With batch rendering, if you type in a line wrong you're in trouble, and you also have to make sure you've saved your file with the Camera viewport active. I used to do a lot of batch rendering but now I do the fake network rendering for more reliable results. Just render to the Net Queue, putting as many projects in the queue as you like and choosing to render to ANY machine. Then when it's all set up, choose Network/Slave and put your machine in slave mode. It will render until it finishes the projects, or until you press ESC. You don't need special hardware or software, it's pretty straightforward. Some messages come up the first time you use it, that's about it. I recommend you try it first when you have time to watch what's going on. Michele
