No, I didn't see your message as being whiney, I just wanted to note that,
IMO, there hasn't been any increase in the price of "keeping up with
technology". I was only quoting hardware prices, as well, but the upgrade
prices for software hasn't gotten much more expensive.
It does seem, however, that things are quite consistent and that constant cash
outlay is a part of the business and must be factored in. It is possible to
still make money with 3DSr2 on a 386, but I'm not sure how cost effective it
is.
Everyone shares your concerns, I'm sure.<No comments about Pyros<g>>
