I had a 1084 monitor that had the same problem. If I remember correctly it
was the power transformer within the monitor. It should only run you about
$15.00 for the part. You should be able to pick one up at a local Radio Shack
or local electronics store. Any compentent tech. should be able to repair it.
A good place to start is a local TV repair shop. Hope this helps.
