You have no argument that a Pentium or PPC based system will ultimately be more powerful. It is not the 680×0 processor that I like, but the Amiga OS. I know there aren't too many powerful applications, but what is available, makes me more than productive. If the AmigaOS were ported to other platforms (which could happen), I would continue to use it. Besides pure number crunching, regular applications and the OS in general seems to be much snappier on the Amiga regardless of the CPU. For me, I feel like I can do more on my 28Mhz 040 than I can with my P133 PCI based system.
