Steve: I'm not trying to rub anyone's nose in the sad state of the Amiga – remember I own a couple of 4000's that I have been hoping against hope will be usable for the next couple of years or more. I'm just about as sad as anyone else about what's happened to the Amiga infrastructure, but perhaps for different reasons: I don't like the idea of shelling out thousands of dollars to replace my video gear. This particular thread had its start in a statement that all computers built in 1990 were unusable except for the Amiga. It unfortuntely has degenerated into an "Amiga is best" thread, which is a useless waste of time for all concerned. Amigas must be cool: otherwise why would I own two of them? With the failure of NewTek to deliver a workable Flyer, however, and their promised switch to the PC, I am seriously thinking of selling off all my Amiga stuff before the last significant value disappears.
