Jeff, "I'm not denying the Amiga's multitasking abilities, merely that "true multitasking" is not exactly something Mr Joe Public is going to get excited about." I would say its something he or she won't appreciate. To set-top box designers/developers and multimedia companies like ourselves. Multitasking is a significant advantage in flexibility and performance. True, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Public probably don't care a fig about multitasking, but once they see how fast and easy it is to find out what is on TV tonight, WE the developers and service providers will appreciate how much easier it is to offer them such conveniences.
