Escom has fairly well implied they are looking for anyone BUT CEI to do it. Their comments were sort of like, "We're looking for a serious North American company to seriously market the Amiga, seriously, and we haven't found one that is actually serious." Basically they implied any companies they already had discussions with were not what they wanted, (read CEI is not what they want) and yes, they may indeed still be sore that CEI, by bidding and counterbidding at all, drove the price up 5 million bucks. Whether Alex is serious or not is not my say, I do not really know the goings on behind the scenes, but from what I can tell, Escom was actually letting CEI make a proposal, but apparently did not like what they saw so they are still looking.
