Christine, -=>I was wondering if anybody out there who has an Amiga BBS who would be willing to send me some hints/tips on setting one up. I also would like some information on what is available for BBS programs and if there is a particular one that everybody likes. While on that topic what BBSnets are out there that support amigas as well?<=- Ack, where are you located? I'd just like to say (as a sysop) that running a BBS is like having another child to take care of. It doesn't pay, takes much of your time, and you really really really have to love doing it. It definetely takes a person with the right temperment to run a BBS <G> The cheapest way to get started is to locate an Amiga BBS in your local area and get tips, hints, and help through the sysop there. Before you go out and buy or register a BBS package like CNET or Excelsior or any of the other packages, you should download a freeware one like MAXSBBS which can be gotten from the files libs in this forum. Set it up and play with it for a few weeks to get a feel for what you're going to be getting yourself in to. <G> If you do get settled in and start looking for an Amiga Network to join I highly reccomend RocketNet its a young, small, up and coming international network full of Amiga sysops running the gammit of software packages.
