Changing the protocol in your own computer depends on the software you are using, and you'll need to look in your manuals to see about that. You can change the protocol on CIS by selecting the new one from a menu, or by typing it in your download command. For instance, if I wanted to download AP.LHA from AmigaVendor, I could use several different protocols, if supported by both CIS and my software, using download commands such as: DOW AP.LHA PROTO:B+ or DOW AP.LHA PROTO:YMODEM or DOW AP.LHA PROTO:KERMIT To find the protocols that CIS can support, look at the menu when downloading. If you start to download your first time of the session, and do not tell CIS which protocol to use, it gives you a menu of the ones it can support. Of the popular ones, I think ZModem is the only one not supported here – because B+ is just as fast and restarts interrupted downloads, etc., and it works better here. —Betty
