Can't give you a comparison as I've never tried them side by side. I
can say that when the Y/C Plus board came out, we went after it
because it was the simplest (and basically only) thing out there. We
do all of our editing on S-VHS and there is no way I can say how
pleased we've been with the board….the output quality is superb.
I'd sure be interested to hear about DPS's product from anyone.
