If I understand your question correctly, I think you need to unpack the
files… do they all say FileName.LHA or .LZH??? If so, these files are
"archived", "compressed" or "packed" files. Each .LHA file contains several
different related files and their icons, etc. needed to run the program that
you are downloading. To unpack this file you need a program called "LHA138". I
think it is available in the Amiga Users Group library.
Go to the library 14 (Archivers/Crunchers) and download a program called
"LHA138.RUN". When you run the program in the shell you must make sure that the
program is in the same directory as the the .LHA file you want to unpack.
(The program (LHA138) is not compressed and is ready to work right after you
download it.)
Type in the command LHA e FILE NAME and you should see the files start
"decompressing" before your eyes. THEN you can use them.
Hope this helps,
Hal Waterhouse
