Fred, I use the timecode memory when I have digitized a large piece of video and audio and want to break it into multiple clips. In the "Make CLips" window I select the first clip and then use "c" to memorize the out point. I then move to the unused video to find the next clip, and use "v" to paste the in point of this next clip, which is the out point of the previous clip. It's also useful if you need to split a clip. Duplicate the clip, find the out point of the first clip, copy it using "c", then go to the duplicate and use "v" to copy the timecode to the in point. I've had to do this a lot since the split edit function is not working. Mark Karney Norwest Communications Inc.
