Ted, I'm pretty sure that the NT FP fix shuts down hardware FP ops, and
replaces them with all software calls. Not exactly what you'd want to do while
using a 3D package!
I'm also pretty sure that MAX sticks with single-precision FP, so it really
shouldn't be any more of an issue that is was using 3DSclassic.
Jack could qualify this…
