GVP Releases FREE Upgrade to EGS-SpectraPaint V1.2
King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, January 20, 1994 — GVP announced today that a
free paint package upgrade is available to all owners of their EGS-28/24
SPECTRUM graphics board. The new version, called EGS-SpectraPaint V1.2, is
available as an upgrade electronically from GVP's BBS or GVP's CompuServe file
section, or may be found freely circulating on area BBS's and Internet file
sites.
This release incorporates more features, including new drawmodes, additional
image, brush, and stencil functions, an enhanced IFF load/save module that
loads more IFF file formats (such as HAM, HAM8, Extra-Halfbright), and a JPEG
load/save module.
The upgrade is a patch file system that modifies the original EGS-Paint
distributed with the EGS-28/24 SPECTRUM, to create the new program. To
download the file from GVP's BBS, call (610) 337-5815 (8N1, 14.4k HST/V.32bis).
For those without access to a modem or other method of electronic
communications, the upgrade can be obtained from GVP's Customer Service
department at (610) 354-9495.
GVP is a privately held company that was founded in 1988. Today it is the
world's largest developer of peripherals for the Commodore Amiga.
