(CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS MESSAGE)
On the 15th of September, still with no copier, I cancelled the order and
requested an immediate credit on my account. I was told that that would take
seven days. After *eleven* days I called the bank and was told that there was
no credit to my account. Calling Comp-U-Store once again got me the
information that the charge would be credited by *October 6* ! I complained
that they had been quick to charge me — one week after the order was placed
(long before the copier was supposed to have been shipped) that I thought they
should return the favor and credit my account just as quickly. This elicited
nothing but dead air.
After waiting four months for a badly needed copier purchased in good
faith, I wound up with nothing but a $600 debt on my credit card. If you are
planning on doing any Christmas shopping with Comp-U-Store, you are already too
late. Consider this a warning to think twice before you order anything
important or expensive from Comp-U-Store because you are very likely to wind up
with nothing but aggrevation and disappointment. I don't make a practice of
publishing bad reviews on companies that make errors, but this is so flagrant
an example of incompetence and bad faith I consider it my duty to warn everyone
about it.
