Pat, I believe I answered your question, but in case it scrolled off before you got the chance to read it….we have had problems reported on uploading via Ahost B protocol, and a few folks have reported problems with some downloads, but we (the sysops) are unable to reproduce the problems. Neither I nor Steve have had any difficulty doing either. In fact one night, Steve went and downloaded a file via B protocol with AHost that someone in CO said was impossible to download (it may have been you, I forget who exactly it was). In any event, B Protocol does speed things up a bit during a download, but if you are having problems with it…the speed up is lost with the failed download. I would suggest you use Xmodem until a newer version of Ahost is available. As 99% of the files were uploaded via Xmodem, there is still the need to CHOP executable files even if they are downloaded via B protocol. Also one other thing….do you have Xon/Xoff control disabled thru preferences if you are using 1.2 KS/WB? Don
