When I first received WP, the WP disk wouldn't copy even though I could boot it up and all the files seemed to be there. I made a backup by using the shell program's nice "copy -r" option that makes directories as required and copies the whole disk file-by-file. It seemed to work, but I called WP anyway and they sent a new WP disk out right away. THAT disk also displayed "4.1 BETA" but it seemed to be a little more stable than one a friend of mine has that displayed the same date. Also, I have 2.5MB ram, and that may be one reason I seem to be having fewer problems with WP than some. Anyway, now I have ordered the update disk set. That will probably help a lot of little things. Mostly I have found that WP works quite well for me. It has a lot of nice features. One thing I had to get used to was looking for the hidden codes when I went back to change something like margin settings. I learned that all those functions do is put ANOTHER hidden code in the file, and if you put it BEFORE the old one, the old code is still there and changes the setting right back. I am one who remains skeptical about whether WYSIWYG is really better than having a bunch of nice honest visible "dot commands" in my text file where I can see them and manipulate them.
