Hi Ben,
I thought I would put in my two cents worth about OS-2 etc.
It makes me glad (and sad) that I bought an Amiga. OS-2 is pretty
awfull stuff. Kind of like the Mac Launcher for Mac. But worse.
It seems that it will be to take advantage of 286 mode not 386.
So that what makes me glad. Amiga Dos for all of its faults is
still in a different class than the other stuff. But why? I guess
its good that the small team of devoted folks can make a dent in the
big world of micro's. But than the big guys (seem) to do there best
to make it a failure. Two of my MS-DOS buddies fell on the floor after
seeing what this Kiddie computer can do. And these guys are no slouchs
either. One has written major programs for 8080/Pc machines. The other
along with myself designed major hardware. So all I want to know is
are we crazy? Or is this just to good a machine for the rest of us?
Anyway with all the good things about it that I said I will put in
one jab. Or is it a question? What about hardware migration. Will
Jay Minor (or whoever) ever make a higher res display? The vid for
tv is super great! But for some other programs an optional
1280*960 or 1024*768 would be a gas! And how about a 68020? Did
anyone ever make a multiproccesing card for the expansion port?
Anyways how are you doing? Maintaining a steady cash flow?
After you read your EMAIL I guess some of mine should be flowing to
your neck of the woods. Hows the Ham Radio'in? Are you done with
your Amiga SSTV interface????
