Bill, There were several "major" programs first written on a cross assembler and an AT (and even an XT) due to the fact that the original Lattice not only had a few bugs, but was a _dog_ as to speed. It was actualy faster to do it on the AT. 2nd and 3rd versions of those programs have been re-written (and/or debugged) using the Amiga all the way, now that the tools have "matured", but in the beginning, the original tools were rather slow.
