Bruno, yes that's a bit confusing. Okidata 292 printers come with various interface cartridges so they can work with a variety of computers. What you need is the "IBM Compatible Parallel Interface" This unit plugs into the Okidata 292 and becomes to all intent a physical part of the printer. All you have to do is specify the above interface when you purchase the printer and all should be well with using the Okidata 292 and the Okidata 292 driver under preferences. -John
