Ed, While I understand your motivations, I do feel that it was quite wrong to post the message with the intentionally-misleading subject matter. While you may have wanted to insure that your message was read by all members of the forum, many members are attempting to keep themselves limited to a very tight budget, and your attempt to mislead them to spend money to read the message was wrong. Regarding Steve's actions – well, I've mixed feelings regarding his choice of a substitute header, but feel that his actions were probably more moderate than what I would have recommended or done (oh, but were I King). Personally, I feel that it would have been more appropriate to have just completely deleted the message from the message base (and sent you a private message explaining what I had done and why). I do not think that Steve's actions should be considered "censorship", merely looking out for the interests of the majority of the forum membership. The Amigaforum is a class operation, and doesn't need "bait and switch" tactics to trick Forum members into spending more of their money here than they feel comfortable with.
