It all depends on your definition of "bug" and "feature". I'll grant that
it's not necessarily a bug, but I wouldn't call it a feature, either. It's an
incompatibility.
According to the AmigaDOS User's Manual, section 1.3.1, page 1-2 ….
"The filing system allows filenames to have up to thirty characters, where the
characters may be any printing character except slach (/) and colon (")."
Use of the brace characters as 'tags' may be a nice feature of ARP when
they are implemented, but it is not compatible.
I will jump on the ARP bandwagon when and if it becomes officially
accepted and supported by CBM. Until then, it is not totally compatible with
the system as shipped with the Amiga and I cannot expect or assume that
everyone will be using it.
