But Steve – the question for a school system is not how many titles are
available, but rather, how much software is available that FITS THE CURRICULUM.
It is here that the Apple and IBM have it over almost anyone else. In fact,
the Apple edges out the IBM here. They have kept the Apple II line such that
the software still runs, and the accumulation over the years has provided a
tremendous amount of it.
Schools purchase textbooks and software that go together. The textbook
companies provide the software in those two formats. What is the school system
to do? See what I mean? Educational software is a whole different market.
The things schools are most likely to need will probably not appear on the
shelf of a computer store. It's a very tough market for a newcomer.
