Getting back to the problem I was having with multiple light sources,
I am having trouble reproducing the problem. It appears that it probably
was due to ambient settings set too high.(the manual warns of this but
fails to indicate what is too high) unfortunatley there are many problems
like this in the Silver manual where experimentation is encouraged but no
"typical" examples are given. Experimentation is great but with so many
interacting features in the super-requestor now rendered one picture 140
times just learning how things work because of the skimpy docs.(sorry I
sound bitchy) Its a good thing I have a 68020.
I hate to sound dim, I have read the manual (over, over) How do you
create objects in the editor?? I cant figure out exactly how to create
vertices and connect them. At present I am having to use the object editor
in Sculpt4D and then use interchange to import them to Silver. Because I
just can't see how you do it using the Silver editor.
How do you pass attributes from a parent object to its dependents ?? I
have tried using "Apply" and "Cluster" to no avail. I have an object
imported from the Antic architecture disk it is a group object with several
dependents. When I select its hot spot it turns blue, I set its attributes
but even using Apply/Cluster doesn't
I ended up exporting it to Sculpt using Interchange then bringing it
back so it was one object. (no longer a Silver group). I followed the
directions on page 48 using multi mode, select the first object but when I
try to select the next object the first object turns green and moves. ???
Is there an easier way
