many of which can use sound simultaneously with the animations. There are a
number of good music programs, and the machine can support MIDI (musical
instrument digital interface), which can let you control external synthesizers
from the computer to let you have many, many voices (virtually as many as you
can afford to buy).
I use it for all of the above, and bought it for the music and graphics. After
I had it, I found it to be the most flexible, most powerful, and most fun
computer I have ever worked with. By all means get one.
Finally, the best "intermediate" level configuration for an Amiga 500 is two
disk drives and a full meg of RAM. that would probably take your all-in
purchase price to about $1,100. If you can't handle that, I would strongly
recommend that the extra drive, and extra half meg of ram be the first things
you add to the system (in that order).
& y'all come back here with any questions (you will probably have some. Amy is
different, and can be confusing at first, even if you hav eused other
computers. You can get up the learning curve pretty quickly though, and have
gobs of fun.)
