I have regularly run both the FlickerFixer and BridgeBoard VGA signals through an A-B switch to a NEC II MultiSync monitor with both displays looking very good. Recently I have wanted to run the Amiga RGB and FlickerFixer video signals through an A-B switch to the same monitor. Merely plugging the RGB cable into the Amiga (whether or not the other end was plugged into the monitor) instantly degraded the FlickerFixer display, slightly shrinking the size of the display, over-saturating the colors, and creating fringing in 16-or-more color screens especially gray-scale displays. If I did complete the connection and, switch to RGB, the RGB display would appear looking as good as it ever does look. Is this incompatibility of Amiga displays a fact of life, meaning I really do need two monitors? Or am I doing something wrong? Rob.
