There are at least a thousand dealers of Digital products across the US (never mind worldwide). Many of them advertise in the Digital publications such as Digital Review and Digital News, which are sent free of charge to system managers and buyers of VAX and PDP-11 computer systems (which are the Digital computers to which VTs and LA printers are commonly attached). My company happens to sell Digital products but we don't do enough business to compete on price — we sell primarily to a specific vertical market (nonprofit organizations) and we compete on service, including in-depth understanding of the products.
