Mark,
While that phrase, and many others, are in my everyday vocabulary, this
is a family oriented forum. While you and I may not be offended by certain
"blue" phrases (no, I don't consider them profane; profanity requires a
belief system on my part that I do not have) others may. This forum is
frequented by people of all sexes, faiths, and ethnic backgrounds.
Usage and social acceptance of such phrases are usually dependent upon
the environment and audience present when spoken. You probably would not
use such a phrase in church (if you attend) nor during parent/teacher day
at a local elementary school. I don't believe a public forum is such a
place for their use.
In the vast majority of cases, the use of expletives is overused and
unnecessary. With a little thought in the choice of words you can be so
much more descriptive and get your point across without resorting to the
tried and trite.
You asked for an opinion and you got it! <grin>
