Steve sorry about the difficulty you had…the original message was lost
(as was the upload itself) and was generously restored by one of the
sysops. I don't remember if I mentioned in the original message that
Centurion makes heavy use of chip mem, but as you discovered, it does.
Deleting the resource icons do help, as does clocing workbench. Anoter
trick for this, or any graphic heavy AV application, is to turn off double
buffering. This will degrade the display to some extent, but can save you a
lot of chip memory. Another technique is to set the LMEM flag on AV's icon
in the tooltypes field. Set options = LMEM to force AV to use less memory.
Also, don't start it with an interlaced display. CLI users can save a *LOT*
of memory. AV uses more RAM if started from Workbench than CLI. SO starting
an application from CLI results in a very large RAM savings. Try this: AV m
