Mark, Although this message is addressed to you (easy to hit the reply button in Whap!), it is really meant for everyone. Perhaps the 'problem' would go away if the English language had a general 'emphatic'. I propose that in the future we use !! (two (2) exclamation points (using one already has meaning before some letters as the 'click' sound used in some African languages) immediately preceeding a word we wish to emphasize (either positively or negatively). Examples of use: I couldn't get the !!program to run. (I think this would have caused NO offense to anyone, and this thread wouldn't even exist). !!DPaint III 'hung up' on me again during a fill operation on my 3000. The above usages are clearly negative, but positive should be allowed as well: I had a !!great day. I think !!ARexx will solve your problem. Victor A. Wagner, Jr.
