[ continuation ] irrelevent. Common courtesy dictates that your should make an effort to be more careful in your language useage. You seem to feel threatened by the fact that Betty could delete your message if she deisred. That is one of the necessary powers given to sysops throughout the network. In fact, she could probably have you locked out of the forum, or recommend revocation of your account, if she felt strongly enough about the matter. Like most CompuServe sysops, Betty showed a great deal of restraint, restricting her actions to a friendly note asking your future compliance. I think this whole thing has been blown entirely out of proportion. You were NOT censored, although the potential for censorship is available and you agreed to it voluntarily by being here. Your, or Betty's, or my beliefs, religion, etc., have absolutely no bearing on the matter. Some people find certain words offensive, and it is part of Betty's job to insure, so far as possible, that forum users are not given unnecessary offense. In her judgement, your use of language may have offended some users, thus she sent you a friendly note requesting that you not repeat that language. I cannot find fault with her actions, although her mention of the ability to delete the message may have been an error in judgement.
