J.R. I've forgotten, now. Did you say there is *no* other way out of that Brother than via the disk, or the internal typewriter? There's no DB9 connector, no parallel port, etc.? I'm hoping to see a solution to your problem 'cause I've a friend who is looking into dedicated wp's like your friend's Brother. I've not found a system with a standard data storage system and I'm a bit scared to let her (she's a grad school student) entrench herself in a system that provides no escape, as it were.
