Greg, IF the owner moves out of the area…that's their problem, just as long as you let them know before you do the upgrade that from that point on, their Commodore warranty is void, and they'll have to return the machine to MicroSearch for repairs. If they accept that, and later move, that's their decision…and they knew before hand what problem it could cause them. On those repairs you did for customers who tried the upgrade themselves and messed it up. Did you charge for the repair? If so, why is that any different than a voided warranty. When a warranty is voided, it simply means that the customer now pays for the repair if something goes wrong. It certainly doesn't mean the machine is now useless. As to the earlier upgrades…did anyone in your shop call CBM, or did anyone talk to your rep and get an approval to make the modifications within the warranty period…and not void the warranty? Don
