I own 2 A500 systems, Mark, and the whole issue does not upset me with how the A500 is perceived. However, Commodore's actions seem to have needed some clarification (and I think we got it). In the end, what concerns me is only that the 500 is a legitimate Amiga and it's well-known that the 8372 upgrade works well with it. Warranty considerations should be made when choosing the model of Amiga, and I doubt you will see A2000's to 3000's in Apex or Sears for a very long time. I think what may eventually come of this is that only the 500p is supported through the upgrade. But right now, it's tough to distinguish them from the 500C.
