Since I haven't seen the Firecracker I can't say which looks better but, as I said, they are different. The Fc24 is a RGB display card. That means it displays on your RGB monitor, i.e, the Amiga monitor. The Toaster is NTSC, so it outputs to a composite display, which could also be the Amiga monitor if you output it to the composite video input of the monitor. The FC24, if you are planning on making a video recording of he output will require a genlock…while the Toaster has it's own genlock. If you are planning on single frame recording of animations, both devices will require a transport controller and a frame accurate recording deck. And, yes, both are 24 bit display devices. -Lou
