MS/DOS-Amiga Xfer Help
I've heard there are kinder, gentler, ways, though – or just other ways
of building this bridge. So – here come the questions:
1. Is using a null modem practical for this process? WHAT exactly is
a null modem and now does it work? Is there special equipment needed?
Where can you get it?
2. What about BBS transfers using two phone lines? Does there exist a
small, easy-to-use, modem for the PC that could act as a host? (My little
machine does have a modem.)
3. Has anyone used the Amiga/IBM versions of Protext – you are
supposed to be able to transfer directly through the serial port with that
one?
4. Has anyone used the Amiga/IBM versions of UEdit?
5. Does anyone have any comments on CrossDos VS DOS-2-DOS?
6. Are there any public domain programs that serve the same function?
7. Has anyone tried WordPerfect Exec or LetterPerfect for this
process?
(The programs for the busy executive.)
Please respond with your suggestions – I'm really trying to get this
process right. Thanks a lot in advance…..Nancy
