That's nice to know, Alan. The Viper is as fast in DOS as an ET4000. Now, I can get an ET4000 card for about thirty bucks. How much is the Viper VLB, hmmmmmMMMMMMM!?!?!?!?!? ;> My point is that if you DON'T NEED WINDOWS, or don't plan on using it a lot on the SAME MACHINE for running 3DS, then you're better off getting an ET4000 (local bus if your computer has one) because it is by far the best PRICE/PERFORMANCE RATIO under DOS. Now, if you can tell me that the Viper is umpteen dozen times FASTER than the ET4000 under DOS, then I'll sit up and take notice. The Viper will do NOTHING for you in 3DS in the speed department. It's not worth the MONEY. If you're going to spend money to get speed in 3DS2, get the Matrox MGA, WHEN it has drivers available to use that real-time Gouraud shading under 3DSr3.
