Vic, if it's of general interest why not discussing it in this forum (though, I sometimes miss messages with non-interest subjects). I'm a bit suprised. Multi-Column labels as text or graphic (as CanonStudio only prints graphics)? Also, which printer are you talking about, HP or Canon (as CanonStudio is only for Canon printers). For HP, there are several special label printing programs available. A nice thing for printing multiple labels is an ARexx program I made for a company (if you are interested, I can upload the ARexx script… though, it's pretty customized). They generate the labels style or mailings with PPage!!! The labels masterpage is than printed by PPage as PostScript. An ARexx script takes the PostScript code and the addresses (in this case the address file is generated by SuperBase). And merges them. The main improvement of this method is, that you can design everything using a normal program like PPage/PageStream/Final Copy wich are not able to print mailings/multilabels in a acceptable speed. With the method of changing the PostScript code, you can print on a PostScript printer (or a normal dot-matrix printer using post.library) in the printers speed, even if the letter includes big images! I personaly use TeX for labels, letters and all that stuff. It's even possible to write letters and have TeX automaticly generate/print the labels/envelopes for you. TeX may even collect labels from letters and print them on multicolumn label paper while the letters are automaticly printed on normal paper. TeX even switches my LJ's paper bin automaticly to print envelope and letter. I just spend the last two days to setup everything… in case someone is interested… the setup is NFSS and language sensitiv. I'm suprised by the low traffic about TeX on CIS anyway… everybody I know does use it…
