I don't think so. I've seen 3DO do stuff that my A4000 can't, and CD32's just a
Chip RAM A1200. (the Akiko chunky-to-planar chip isn't that big a performance
boost.)
CD32 has a lot going for it — it beats the pants off Sega CD in screen
appearance, and 3DO in price. But I've seen 3DO stuff, and I think your
reliable source is exaggerating… 🙁
