I have also runned sys:prefs/sreenmode and saved several times. The
first couple of time I ran 'screenmode', the A2024 was not listed. Not
until I ran Add monitor (Clicked on icon) was the A2024 permanently listed
within 'screenmode' (It also shows up in all my other screenmode setting
programs. ie AP, excellences! and others)
I changed the Tool Types in Add Monitor, because that was the
instructions in the Amiga – System Software Manual – version 2.04 manual.
