Currently, the ParNET is for connecting two Amigas together through the Parallel port using both a custom parallel cable and software driver that must be installed on both machines. There appears to a card for allowing upto 256 Amigas to be conncted together using the ParNET, and I've heard rumours of a card in Germany that would give the IBM/compatible a ParNET port. I don't think the ParNET is the right solution (at least until that card surfaces.) He could use the "CrossDOS" software of the A3000 to write the files to an IBM disk that can be read by the PC. OR he could simply hook a NULL modem cable between the two computers, and transfer the files using terminal software. Ron. – ap'ing with AP.
