Maybe I'm thick or something but how would having a list of the models enable
one to rip off the data? What I had in mind is something like:
I. Cars:
Camaro
Ford Pickup
Porsche 944
Mustang
Dodge Van
2. Fruit:
Apple
Orange
Banana
3. Furniture
Chair
Desk
Table
This would give some idea what models are on the CD and would make a great
sales tool. For instance: I need a carrot and a yard tractor for two projects
I'm working on now. I'f I knew you had a yard tractor on the CD or even a full
blown Peterbuilt tractor I would go for the CD as soon as my contract is
signed. But if you are telling me that you have a CD and it has some music on
it but you can't tell me what music selections there are because it's secret
then I can't see buying it as a surprize package. A book like the Corel Draw
CD-ROM guide is invaluable for my clients to browse through but without at
least a listing of the contents I probably wouldn't have purchased it in the
first place. Another problem I have experienced with clip art in the past is
the files on the disk were compressed with file names like PICT01; PICT02;
PICT03 etc. With no translation or listing it was a nightmare to use and I
swore I would never invest in clipart again without knowledge of the content.
Just a point of view from a potential customer.
