Sorry for the delay, I was away for a while.
I did a test of the ink I have an lo-and-behold you are right. It is
smudgeless. I think what I was seeing before was the cheap paper that I
printed on releasing ink filled particles. Perhaps the first cartridge I
had was the old type, as well.
