Mark – allow me to say 'hello' first of all, then to bow, scrape, grovel and
generally acknowledge a true maestro of the software! I've recently bought
Painter 2.0, and sent in my registration, which you should receive in a few
days, but I have to say that it is ABSOLUTELY MIND-BOGGLING!!!! I dabble in
graphics on my DX2/66, mainly for fun, but also some serious stuff, and I use
Corel, Picture Publisher 4.0 (which is also superb), and Pixar Typestry. I
have a Kurta XGT 12×12, and run a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 17" monitor. The
output side of things is still a bit behind the 8-ball, but I get reasonable
output on my DJ500C. Does anyone have any experience with the new 1200C?
A couple of questions – what is this X2 that I have seen on your two forums,
and what is the Companion? Do I get notified of things such as these as a
registered user?
I look forward to getting heaps of hints etc from the forums, and let me say
again – congratulations on a magnificent piece of wonderware (the word
"software" seems so ordinary for such an extraordinary program.)
Regards from sunny Queensland down-under.
Pete, Brisbane, Australia.
