Wayne, OK, OK, Flame OFF !!! <g> As I told John Foust in a previous post, there is no such thing as a "forseeable future" as far as technology is concerned. Would the technology we have today been "forseeable" just 20 years ago. No. I certainly agree that humans are nowhere near leaving this Solar System. I do not, however, agree that it will not be possible by the end of the 21st century. As stated, what is the "forseeable future"? I have no idea. BTW, I believe Alpha Centauri is between 4-5 light years from Earth, and alot of stars are between 4-28 light years. Could any support life, NOBODY knows for certain.
