NewTek has been testing different drives in house and they are
finding that the some drives from the same manufacturer's do not
work. In giving serial numbers to the manufacturers, they have
discovered that there are often undocumented firmware updates that
prevent the drives from working reliably.
You can imagine what a distribution and tech support headache this
could become for NewTek. Eventually, it should be all worked out I
would imagine.
