#New 'Jargon' suggestion
There's an entry in the latest Wired magazine's "Jargon Watch" column that I'd
like to see implemented around here, namely: NRN (No Response Necessary).
The purpose of this is to eliminate the feeling we all get when someone's done
something for us to want to make sure they know we appreciate it — but it just
ends up becoming an embarrassingly long string of one sentence messages:
"Thanks a lot for your help!"
"No problem, hope everything works out."
"Me too. Thanks again."
"Sure. Let me know if you need anything else."
"Okay. Will do."
"Great"
"Okay"
"Um, bye now."
"Okay, bye."
Anyway…<g>…I hereby suggest that we try and incorporate this into our
standard useage. Anyone?
