I'm just a simple forum user like you and have posted messages that don't get
answered but it doesn't really bother me in light of the phenomenal message
load this forum handles. I'll just rephrase it and try to find another message
slightly related that is already making waves, then piggy-back my message on it
on. A sort of "thread-extension" tactic! Usually works.
Do you realize there are often 150 new messages a day? I really wonder how the
Sysops manage because I'm sure they don't make their living from answering our
questions. I just hope they don't burn out.
BTW I looked at your message out of curiosity. It looks like you analysed your
situation pretty well, and kind of answered your own question – in the
affirmative. It sounds like it might make sense to take off all the outer
cladding and redo the electricity and insulation from the outside even if it
does cost more. But you're right, it would be good to get an expert's opinion
on that. If you don't get an answer here, go over to the Homing Forum where a
lot of architects and building engineers hang out.
Incidentally, how DO you keep warm in central Wisconsin winters without
insulation?
