If you are using an HPFS formatted disk, then let OS/2 do the swapping. Since the HPFS is more efficient than FAT there will be an improvement. Also, some Phar Lap function calls will have to be translated to the equivalent HPFS calls introducing a little overhead. If you have a FAT formatted disk, then the speed differences will probably be minimal. OS/2, in either case, uses a 32bit paging scheme. I have heard confilicting information about how Phar Lap (3DS) does paging, so I cannot say for sure which is faster. It does seem logical, however, that having the OS do the paging would be more effecient method by its nature (since the OS is ultimately responsible for HD access anyway).
